Cabinet Making Process
Some of our customers have previously had new cabinets designed and installed. Other customers are completely new to the process and need a bit more support. Some contact a professional cabinet maker immediately. Others will handle much of the design and material selection themselves.
Regardless of the stage you're at, we will partner with you in the way that works best for you. After all, it’s your home and we respect that. There are, however, some general processes that we will lead you through to ensure you get the best possible result that fits your requirements and budget.
Step 1: In-Home Design Consultation
This is the most important part of the process as each home is different and each person has specific preferences and requirements. During the initial on-site consultation, we will view the space, discuss your ideas and and show you options for the project. We will ask many questions and listen to what is most important to you. We will then create a draft design and go back to base to generate 3D designs and a pricing estimate.
Given the investment in our design process, a $150 onsite consultations will apply. This will be credited to the project should you go ahead.
Step 2: Material Selection and 3D Design Proposal
While our design process is simple, the training and skills behind our work are very technical. Once we have completed our 3D designs, we will present the results so you can see what your project will actually look like. This also provides an opportunity to further discuss the layout, materials and design, and make any amendments.
Step 3: Final Designs
Taking your feedback, we will finalise the designs, the specifications and pricing for your consideration.
Step 4: Contract and Design Sign-Off and Deposit
To get the ball rolling, we will prepare the contract, specifications documents, and QBCC insurance.
Step 5: Final Measure
Our Project Manager will visit the property to triple check the measurements for manufacture. This will avoid potentially costly issues and reduce the possibility of any delays in the project.
Step 6: Cabinet Fabrication
All cabinets are manufactured in our local factory. Manufacturing times vary based on materials however you can expect a 4 - 6 week turn-around from ordering.
Step 7: Delivery and Installation
We will confirm installation for your earliest possible convenience. A standard installation takes between 2 and 4 days depending on the complexity of the design and materials involved.

Step 8: Final Inspection
Once the installation and detailing is complete, our Project Manager will visit you and take you through the new kitchen and ensure it meets strict quality and build standards. Once you are satisfied, you will be issued a certificate and warranty documents.
